This pack is built around 10 of my core signature sounds. Each sound was profiled in five gain stages, with number 1 being the lowest and number 5 the highest gain. These are the tones I rely on in the studio and on stage.

Each main sound ranges from dynamic low gain to full saturation while keeping the same core character. Four gain stages are optimized for rhythm playing, and the fifth is a dedicated lead version, already dialed in the way I use it for solos.

Whether you use single coils or humbuckers, play rhythm or lead, you can choose the gain stage that fits your instrument and your song best.

All sounds are available for MK1, MK2, and Player LVL1, so you can use them regardless of which Kemper© unit you own.

AC SRV
Based on a Morgan© AC5 with a Vertex© Steel String SRV pedal and Dee’s Custom BLACKHOLE cab with a Celestion© G12-75 speaker. A low gain expressive tone, great for neck pickup solo lines.

BALLZ
Based on a Friedman© Pink Taco V2 with the left channel of a Wampler© Dual Fusion, paired with the BLACKHOLE cab (Celestion© V30). Aggressive British Plexi-inspired rock and metal tone. Great for punchy bridge pickup riffs.

BREAKER
Based on ENGL© Powerball II Channel 3 with the BLACKHOLE cab (Electro Voice© EVM12L) and a high boost on the SSL© EQ. Modern metal tone and solid heavy rhythm foundation.

BRIT ROCK
Based on ENGL© Powerball II Channel 2 with the BLACKHOLE cab (Electro Voice© EVM12L) and SSL© high boost. Different mic position and balance than BREAKER. Similar character to BALLZ but more direct and in your face.

DIRT
Based on the Red Seven© The Dirt (limited run), using the BLACKHOLE cab (Celestion© Greenback 25). Works beautifully with a Les Paul. Excellent for classic rock riffing.

FRANKENSTEIN
Based on a Friedman© Pink Taco V2 with the BLACKHOLE cab (Electro Voice© EVM12L). The tone used on the song “Frankenstein” from the album Beyond the Shadows.

HOLY
Based on ENGL© Powerball II Channel 4 with the BLACKHOLE cab (Celestion© V30). Highest gain sound in the pack. Massive saturation with controlled low end.

RESTLESS
Based on ENGL© Powerball II Channel 3 with the BLACKHOLE cab (Celestion© V30). Focused high gain rhythm tone.

SATAN
Based on a Friedman© PT2 with an Xotic© EP Booster and the BLACKHOLE cab (Celestion© V30). More gain and sustain, used for the song “SATAN”.

SHADOWS
Based on ENGL© Powerball II Channel 2 with the BLACKHOLE cab (Celestion© V30). Lower gain heavy tone used on “Beyond the Shadows”.

SHARK
Based on ENGL© Powerball II Channel 3 with the BLACKHOLE cab (Celestion© V30), using a different mic position than RESTLESS. Same base amp, different character.

Additional Profiles

U.D.O. 2027 Lead Profile
Captured during the Profiling 2.0 beta phase. Used on the upcoming U.D.O. album (2027). Friedman© into a Mesa© 4×12. This exact tone stayed in the final mix.

YouTube Profile

AC15 SD Boost
Vox© AC15 used as a pedal platform for the Boss© SD1. Excellent with a Les Paul. Try the neck pickup.

Cleanish Profiles
Based on the clean channel of the ENGL© Powerball II.
Lower gain version for humbuckers.
Slightly higher gain version for single coils.

All profiles were captured using a Shure© SM57 and a Royer© R-121.
Every sound has its own optimized mic position and mic balance.
An SSL© style EQ was used where necessary.

All sounds include the effects I personally use in the Kemper©.
In most cases, a Pure Booster is placed in front of the amp to increase input level without altering the core tone. I prefer this over simply increasing amp gain because it keeps the tone more natural.

Where appropriate, you will also find a noise gate and phaser. Cleaner sounds include a compressor.

All profiles feature my personal effect settings, including EQ, delay, reverb, booster, and more, and are dialed in to match my personal tones.

These sounds were matched using a Telecaster, Stratocaster and Les Paul and translate well across different guitars.
